Dope Bust

Whoever said money cannot buy happiness forgot about puppies.

That line came from an entry in forum. A fellow there recently lost a long time doggy friend. Suddenly his love for a pup was needed for a pup found on the side of the road. One of the readers came up with tonight’s starting line.

Meanwhile Sturdy Steed and TheOFM had a wonderful ride around the Rockport Beach, Harbor and town this afternoon. A few nice visits came with the ride. The low point was watching police bust a young man for dope out in the park.

One wonderful feature of bike riding is you cover boring territory faster than walking. Yet it is possible to peddle slowly enough to see everything around you. A case in point is that for two years the Team has been running around in the harbor area and never noticed the veterans’ memorial in the nearby park. That has been a shame to miss it. It is a very nice memorial.

Many instances of references to Connie Hagar have been heard. She was not known to me. Today over near the main highway, this plaque to her was found.

A lot of the Little Bay area is the dedicated natural area that bears her name. This next picture is of the shore line the plaque talks about.

Riding a bicycle once again proved itself to be good exercise and rewarding by seeing things you will miss when in a motor vehicle.

The cool temperature and bright sunshine coupled with a ride on Sturdy made a great day of trying to have tooooo much fun. TheOFM.
