Italian Salad

My favorite way to fix spaghetti is a bit different as you might imagine. Since vegetables are important, they are part of the dish.
For one person, since there is only one person in the Castle.

Choose a salad mix from the store.

Measure out a quantity to suit yourself. Sit in bowl the spaghetti will be in, to allow it to reach room temperature or put it in the microwave to warm it. Your choice.

Cook the chosen amount of whole wheat spaghetti to the tenderness you prefer. During cooking add spices as desired. For me it is cayenne powder and cracked black pepper. Sometimes some garlic powder is also added.

While the spaghetti is cooking, prewarm the spaghetti sauce. My choice is one of the Barilla Bros ready made sauces. Your choice, but us lazy bums just use pre made sauces.

After the spaghetti is cooked, drain it, and place over the salad in the bowl. Pour the sauce over the spaghetti. Now it some serious decisions. Do you eat it as is like an “Italian Salad” or do you mix it up. All these choices keep us young don’t they?
