Last night after publishing the blog entry, a conversation with the nice lady named Carol in the site next to me resulted in me showing her my three main walking spots in the area. We finished the tour at the Packery Channel north jetty where this picture was taken.
She was very entertaining and delightful company for the walk. She has moved to Corpus to go to work. Her first day is Monday. Good luck to you Carol.
A few things were prepared for tomorrow’s move. The unnamed yak was loaded and tied down. It was a lot easier the second time to get it up top. Now if it will come down next time more gently than the last time. The couple of odds and ends that were loose were corralled and put into the proper storage spot.
Late in the afternoon a ride down to the Mustang Island State Park was taken. WOW that place was busy. A short walk into a volunteer trail in the bay side marsh yielded nothing worthy of taking a picture.
Upon return to the campground from that trip, my vehicle washing brush was hooked up and the Truck given a good rub down to get the salt accumulation off its paint. After that it was just be lazy time. Carol had been out trying to have fun. When she returned, we had another nice conversation.
Tomorrow will be rolling time which is always exciting. The Truck is already backed up under the Castle’s hitch ready for action. If things go as usual, we will roll out about nine am. The tow is a bit more than one hour, so everything should be set up and lazy time in full kickback mode by lunch time. Sounds like a great plan for the start of the new adventure in trying to have tooooo much fun. TheOFM.
It is always nice to share places we like with people not familiar with the area. I am sure she appreciated it, she looks like a very nice lady.
