Stalled Installation

Del Rio, Texas

A very cool morning started the day. A very warm afternoon tapered into a cool evening. A lot of sawdust vacuuming was done this morning. Going to get parts as they showed a need to have took the rest of the morning.

The thirty amp circuit breaker that goes between the battery and the solar controller is a very important part. It is what will protect the controller in case the batteries go berserk

Next was time to read the instructions for adding the support feet to the panel. The are very ingenious and strong. The assembly required me to find where the box end wrenches were hidden. In the third tool box of course. The feet went on easily and as proclaimed.
Some cleaning up and putting tools away was in progress when the going blind eyesight showed up. Oh boy a migraine again. Well that puts an end to climbing up and down on the roof ladder. No chance at all at working close to the edge of the roof when on top with my balance shot to pieces. Fundamentally all progress stopped right there until another time.

The good side is that it has been chosen to spend the spring in the Texas Hill Country. My mind has been bothered by a “should” mess around in Big Bend since this is the time of the year for that area to be visited.

SHOULD is a nasty word for a RV dweller. Want is the correct thought. A call to Lady Bird Johnson RV Park in Fredericksburg netted me a spot vacated yesterday. That is my spot now. Tomorrow is the expected return to that park. Comfort Castle has been there a few times according to the blog.

A good thing about the park is they like for you to wash your vehicles so the trees get water. My visits there in the past have not even started to scratch the Hill Country fun. Spring flowers in that area are usually spectacular. The old pecan trees will shade the roof enough that installing the solar panel will be a lot more comfortable there than here in the boiling sun. A boiling sun does feel good in the cold winter though.

That area is fun for me. Returning there in the best time of the year will make it great for trying to have tooooo much fun. TheOFM.
