The wild screaming banshee winds are at it again. Chilly all day with significant wind chill also. The wind is picking up the dirt off the ground and blasting everything in sight. The truck has a layer of blasting sand collecting on the ledges of the body.

If that is not enough, there is more. The wind and sand have blasted the middle stripe of the park road right off the road. Peeled that sucker right up and sent it down to San Antone. See for your self.

Meanwhile discretion was to stay in out of the wind for the most part. Most of the folks that live here in the campground are gone somewhere today. Who knows where, but the place is a ghost town.

My dinette bench seats have over four inches of soft foam in the seats. It feels good at first, but after a half hour or so they bottom out on the plywood below. A few days ago it was decided to do something productive instead of gripe. Today the seat was taken apart.

That was a feat in and of itself. Whoever usually puts them together can likely crush ball bearing bare handed. My wimp fingers took a beating just getting it apart.

Next the foam was measured. Then it was filleted like a fish. Next it was fitted with the new piece purchased at Wal-Mart.


Then the fun of cramming the four hundred pounds of foam back into the three pound sack called the seat. By the time it was beat into submission, my fingers were getting raw. Butt sitting on it to write this blog entry is making the pain worth while. I think.

Since it is supposed to be cool tomorrow, maybe there will be some walking around and trying to have tooooo much fun. TheOFM.
