The bad news is that Lloyd of www.wandrin.us fame had to put up with an ailing old fat man during our adventures today. It is certain that my body not feeling well got in the way of Lloyd’s trying to have tooooo much fun. He was very nice and pleasant about it. Thank you Lloyd.
One of the early things we did this morning is go out and hunt for a cinnamon roll. Here is the hunter on the stalk.
We also went out to Wildseed to visit and check out what is new there. There were several new things for yard decorations. One decoration especially for my DIL is the frog statues. Here is a bunch of little froggies all sitting in place as if waiting for the teacher to start class.
On a fence was a vine with beautiful flowers. They would make a good screen from a near by walk or street and be very nice to view also.
By now it was getting to be time for lunch, so back into town we went. We walked a lot of blocks in the town looking for a place to eat. We found that most of the restaurants were closed on Tuesdays. The place we ate at finally, after much trudging around the town, was named Winklers (maybe). My chicken salad was very good and only slightly too expensive. After lunch we stopped at the Thrift Shop in hopes of finding some good bargains, but alas we walked out empty handed.
By now I was worn and we headed home. Lloyd let me out at my home. Rest and ibuprofen was next on my need list. By the time happy hour came around at five, my body was doing relatively well. We were joined by my new neighbors Daryl and Mary from Mesa, Arizona.
Lloyd, Daryl, Mary and I had some great conversations on many things. It turns out Lloyd, Daryl and Mary had lived some of their lives in areas near each other. Lots of fun stories and tales were related. With the help of all these nice folks, it turns out that it was a good day for trying to have tooooo much fun. TheOFM
