The eye doctor appointment went right on schedule. They probed, prodded and blinded me with bright lights. I was a wupped puppy when they finished two hours later today. Saturday is the day to finish some more tests. Apparently my age is catching up with me. Cataracts are starting, tear ducts are not tearing correctly and new glasses lenses are needed. More testing about glaucoma is happening Saturday. It was after 3pm before I could see decently again.
The GM dealer took my truck right on back when I got there right after lunch. After a couple of hours on the phone with the main GM Tech service, the local service tech thinks they have the trouble figured out. The part has to come from San Antonio and should be here next Monday if we are lucky. My new glasses should be here next Monday also.
Between the truck and the eyes and the vision recovery, the whole day has been used up, as well as a big chunk of checking account. This is not the way to go about having toooo much fun. TheOFM
8:45 pm on edit. As I returned from my walk a nice lady called out o me to see the space station. In my usual HUH mode, I was not understanding. She showed me the two very bright dots in the sky moving along very well. It was the space station and the shuttle extremely visible in the dark sky. It has been a long time since I have seen the shuttle and never the space station before. Looks like today had a fun ending after all. TheOFM
My one fear is not being able to see well enough to drive...we have to take care of them. Hope the migraines go away with the new lenses!!
