Infernal Revenue Stickup

Bright sunshine, 73 and very windy.

As you can see the day was very pleasant down at the beach. This was later in the evening when lots of folks come out to play with their dogs on the beach. The beach has a dogs allowed area and a dogs not allowed area. They had some troubles with dogs and kids getting into fights a few years ago so they divided the area so everyone gets a spot to play without trouble. Great idea in my opinion. In the morning I had an errand to run and when I returned two fellows were cleaning speckled trout at the cleaning station here at the campground. The catch looked like some good size fish and the stack of fillets was about 6 inches high. There was more fish in the ice chest to be cleaned yet. Nice. When I went to the pier late today the wind was blowing about 25 and waves were breaking onto the pier. I tried for a little while, but the conditions were too miserable for me.



After lunch, I made some repairs to the stove and now I have pan cakes instead of hillcakes. Piddling around for a little while while trying to figure what to do next, I had a flash of brilliance or maybe a dim flicker anyway. All the things I needed to do my income tax had arrived. So with extreme excitement I went to work. About an hour later I was finished. Simple living even has rewards at tax filing time. Only 3 pages. WOW the shortest tax return I can remember ever having. Off to the post office I went and put it into the mail. Since the post office is right across the street from the walking path, I stopped to walk some. However my hip is still hurting some so I only walked a couple of hundred yards before I decided to recover some more. After all I am leaving Sunday morning on the way to the ultimate hiking area Bibe.

Now that is a place where it is easy to have tooooo much fun. TheOFM
