Adventure: An interesting or unusual experience.
For years, about 58 years, I thought adventure must involve life threatening events. Now that I have had a few life threatening events in my life, I know the real definition of that type of event is actually: sheer abject terror. Tioga George brought to my attention that adventure is not what I had always envisioned. The Old Fat Man Adventures will always be in the search of something new, unusual, interesting or most importantly fun.
A book I received for Christmas has proven to be all four aspects. For several years I have been casually studying drawing and painting. The books I have read never were able to communicate with my small brain. A book written in ancient times by Tony Couch titled "WATERCOLOR, You can do it" has written the instructions in a manner that communicates with an old brain. Now I see hope of education. This is a real adventure.
Today was spent with a shovel and hoe cleaning the bedroom and bathroom of the trailer. The kitchen and dining/living room area only needed a rake and dust pan. I run an electric heater for heating most of the time since it costs about the same as using the gas heater and is a lot less intrusive into my sleep. The extra insulation has proven its worth during our two days of winter. It has been into the high 30's the last two mornings and the heater had to run for a few minutes 4 or 5 times a night to keep the trailer at 65. I like being comfortable.
Tonight was pizza night. Everyone pitched in and the campground owner ordered pizza delivered. The group of about 25 who came had a great time trying to have tooooo much fun. TheOFM
