Livingston, Texas
The temperature was 34 this morning early so I went back to bed and napped some more. After finally dragging my fat body out of the warm bed, I started to eat breakfast only to realize I was out of Soy Milk. So I had hot tea and cereal. It is actually pretty good. Making a list and checking it twice allowed me to get my groceries purchased including things I had been forgetting for a couple of weeks. Senility is good for the sales of notepads. Since I was going to Wal-Mart and the truck needed an oil change, I gave the Lube Express a chance to do the oil change correctly. Back in Washington the Wal-Mart employees had failed miserably with an oil change on my Camry I had at that time. This one was done properly and the employees even knew about the diesel specific oil needed. WOW what a difference.
For the afternoon delight I went to the Escapes HQ to get my mail of the last two weeks. My truck and trailer titles came in to finish off my transfer to Texas. I am very glad that is over. To add the whipped cream and cherry to the day, I stopped to meet Froggi http://myprimeyears.com/lilypad/ for the first time. She is a great lady to visit with and we talked for almost four hours nonstop. She is such a smooth talker that I have even signed up for the Gypsy Journal Rally in Casa Grande next February. A couple of other folks in the campground stopped by to visit also. This was a great afternoon. For the comedy event, a class A pulled up, stopped for a minute, then started away with the wheels on the toad locked up. The motor home did not even notice the wheels on the toad were not turning. A much more able bodied fellow than I, was able to run them down on foot and get the disaster stopped in short order.
This has been a very full day and early tomorrow I head out for Kemah Texas. This little town on the shore of Galveston Bay was a fun little place when I left Texas 6 years ago. I will test its “having tooooo much fun” ability. TheOFM
This one had me laughing pretty hard. Great post. Keep up the fun.
