As a Viet Nam veteran of the 82 Airborne and 101st Airmobile, I know the price eternally ready to defend costs the folks in service for the USA and I THANK YOU ALL PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE. This day and the others like it, 9-11, are important reminders that peaceful people must always be ready to defend themselves against the slimy low life fools of the world. Thank you again.
I have one more gift to buy to finish my Christmas shopping. It has been a busy day. The presents are all shipped to their new homes. Even the Christmas cards have been signed, sealed, stamped, addressed and mailed. Am I good or what???
This weather is a lot different than the Washington weather of my last 6 years. They are freezing with temps from highs of 35 and lows in the mid 20’s. I have had the A/C on today because of the warm hot air outside making everything inside wet and sticky. Even a couple of kids were swimming in the park pool today. I have too many electronics inside to allow warm salt humidity to settle on the inside of the trailer. So on with the A/C and out with the humidity. Even with the humidity I prefer the warm so my arthritic hands do not ache all the time. I had a big surprise when the stores were very empty today everywhere I went to shop. One store had 7 clerks standing around hoping somebody needed some help. They were really excited to have someone come in to relieve the boredom. Even an old fat man was an improvement.
This RV Park is kept very clean inside and out. Ward the maintenance fellow was even out touching up the insecticide that keeps the fire ants under control. There have been only 2 mounds visible in the three days I have been here. I hate fire ants very much. On a stroll around the park to wake up from addressing Christmas cards, I spied this extremely polite cat. It just sat there and watched as I went by.
I have presents on the way to me so I will not be able to leave the humidity until they arrive. As soon as I can I am headed for the dryer part of Texas to winter over until the Rally in mid-February in Casa Grande Arizona. Non-rv folks keep asking what my itinerary is. They are unable to understand that I do not have one. Well how do you know when you will be someplace? I tell them I do not know when or where. Remember the song BORN FREE. As free as the wind blows. Sounds great doesn’t it. Free to try to have tooooo much FUN everywhere, The OFM
